Travel Nica was founded in 2002 with a humble beginning in the department of Rivas, Nicaragua. We started as a small taxi service, with Ariel Gutiérrez, the founder, working as a driver for a taxi that wasn’t even his own. At just 19 years old, Ariel began transporting tourists who arrived from various cities like Granada, León, and the capital, Managua, and were heading to the beautiful beaches of Rivas, Tola, Gigante, Wasacate, Rancho, and San Juan del Sur.

As tourism evolved, Ariel worked tirelessly to build connections with local hotels and provide reliable transportation services. His goal was to offer a more comfortable, private, and high-quality service to his clients. Over the years, with dedication and persistence, Ariel was able to purchase his own vehicle and continue to grow the business.

By 2007, tourism in Nicaragua had grown significantly, and Travel Nica expanded its services, offering more tailored and premium transportation options to visitors. What started as a simple taxi operation has evolved into a trusted and professional shuttle service that caters to tourists looking to explore the beauty of Nicaragua.
